Using Nasal Steroid Sprays Effectively

Nasal steroid sprays are used for various conditions of nose. They are one of the most commonly prescribed medications by ENT doctors to treat a variety of nose problems. They are usually prescribed for:

• Allergic rhinitis
• Chronic sinusitis
• Fungal sinusitis
• Rhinitis medcamentosa
• Hypertrophic turbinates(muscles of nose)

It is very important to use nasal sprays properly for their effective and proper action in the nose. You have to follow the instructions in the leaflet given by the manufacturer which contains the precautions one should take while using the nasal spray. One should remember that nasal steroid spray is a pharmacological drug and should be used carefully and correctly. There are no or very few side effects with it but since it is a steroid compound, it should be used judiciously and for proper purpose.
